12/12/2023
Abdominal ultrasound is an imaging test that allows evaluating the organs inside the abdomen and facilitates the diagnostic procedures for doctors. The abdominal ultrasound includes:
- liver;
- kidneys;
- adrenal glands;
- pancreas;
- spleen;
You should get an abdominal ultrasound if you experience the following symptoms:
- abdominal or flank pain, accompanied by general weakness;
- excessive flatulence;
- stomach heaviness;
- bitter taste in the mouth after eating;
- belching, heartburn and nausea;
- decreased or loss of appetite;
- pain in the lower back;
- discomfort when urinating.
Previously diagnosed kidney diseases, hormonal imbalance, diabetes and cancer are also reasons for a check-up. An abdominal ultrasound shows:
- inflammation of different systems and tissues;
- formation of polyps, cysts, cancer tumours;
- cholecystitis (gallbladder and kidney stones);
- consequences of injuries of different types (caused by falls, contusions, during sports activities).
You can undergo the above examinations at our medical center by appointment at a time convenient for you.
