Main/ Services/ Breast care/surgery/ Consultation with a surgeon: abdominal disorders

The consultation with a surgeon at Berehynia Medical Center includes:

– analysis of patient’s complaints;

– detailed study of medical history (anamnesis) and results of previous examinations;

– manual examination (palpation) of the abdominal cavity.

If necessary, a surgeon performs an abdominal ultrasound or refers a patient for further examination: laboratory tests, X-ray, etc.

You should see a surgeon if you experience abdominal pain or such symptoms as:

  • recurrent or constant sharp abdominal pain, accompanied by general malaise and fever;
  • excessive flatulence;
  • stomach heaviness;
  • bitter taste after eating;
  • belching, heartburn;
  • constant nausea;
  • reduced appetite or loss of appetite;
  • lower back pain;
  • blood in urine or feces;
  • discomfort during urination.

  Previously diagnosed kidney diseases, hormonal imbalance, diabetes and cancer are also the reasons for routine examination by a surgeon and ultrasound.

An abdominal ultrasound includes:

  • liver;
  • kidneys;
  • adrenal glands;
  • pancreas;
  • spleen.
